Reproductive health disorders in young adult males
This professional development activity aims to provide an overview of male reproductive and sexual health conditions that impact younger adult males. The content will provide GPs and other health professionals knowledge to support clinical reasoning and supprot the effective treatment of a range of reproductive health disorders affecting young adult men. The activity provides education to enable GPs to recognise that some male reproductive health disorders are under diagnosed and most can be managed in the primary health care setting. The activity also provides some suggestions on how to improve communication to enable primary health care providers to confidently engage young men in discussions about sexual and reproductive health and involve partners (if applicable) in management. The course also provides guidance on how to routinely undertake genital examinations as part of the assessment of young men's health. These assessments should only be conducted if assessment and diagnosis of male genitals is part of a practitioners' scope of practice.
GPs who complete all interactive learning activities and will receive a complimentary Healthy Male orchidometer.
(Note: Only one orchidometer per person - restricted to Australian residents only)
